This page explains what information VedicCharts processes, why it is processed, and how users can contact us about privacy-related questions.

Information We Process

  • Basic usage data needed to serve charts, forecasts, and public pages
  • Anonymous session identifiers used to maintain user and entitlement state
  • Purchase verification payloads for Google Play monthly Pro subscriptions
  • Technical request metadata used for service delivery, abuse prevention, and debugging
  • Approximate website visitor counting data stored through anonymous browser identifiers

How We Use Information

  • Deliver charts, forecasts, cycle analysis, and Jyotish content
  • Maintain free and Pro entitlement state
  • Verify Google Play subscription status and entitlement windows
  • Monitor reliability, performance, and abuse prevention
  • Measure aggregate public website usage through non-personal visitor counts

Third-Party Services

VedicCharts currently uses Cloudflare Pages for frontend hosting, Railway for backend hosting, Google Play for Android distribution, and the Google Play Developer API for purchase verification. These providers may process technical data necessary to operate and secure the service. Android delivery and networking may also rely on Google Play or Android transport/runtime components needed to deliver app updates, purchase verification, and secure network requests. The current release does not ship advertising SDKs or ad network integrations.

Data Sharing and Retention

We do not sell personal data. Limited technical data may be shared only with infrastructure, distribution, billing, and security providers as required to operate the app and website. Anonymous account records and web visitor identifiers are pruned on a rolling basis, and we retain technical or operational data only as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, compliance, fraud prevention, and debugging.

Security

We use authentication tokens, infrastructure access controls, and server-side purchase verification to reduce abuse and protect entitlement state. No system can guarantee absolute security, but VedicCharts is designed to minimize stored personal data and limit access to operational records.

Deletion and Retention Requests

Anonymous app data can be deleted from the in-app footer through the Delete App Data action. This removes the current anonymous account, entitlement state, and the locally stored anonymous device identifier used to reconnect that account. If you cannot access the app, email us from the address or device context you used with the service and ask for deletion support.

Subscription management and cancellation remain controlled by Google Play. You can manage or cancel through the in-app Google Play link or directly in the Google Play subscriptions center.
